Skirk is a 5-star DPS in Genshin Impact who specialises in dealing Cryo/Freeze damage. While her playstyle can be a little difficult to master, and her best teams tend to have multiple premium supports, she's still one of the best damage-dealers outside of the Stellar Glimmer meta.
As you need more than one type of team (three, ideally) building Skirk is highly recommended if you have her. So to help you make her the best she can be, this page details the best Skirk build in Genshin Impact, including her best teams, weapons, and Artifacts. Best Skirk teams in Genshin Impact
Skirk's best team is with Escoffier, Citlali, and Vodyanitsa - a fairly pricey set up. However, Escoffier is the only 'must have' to run with Skirk, as Citlali and Vodyanitsa are easily replaceable with characters like Furina, Shenhe, and Yelan. You will see a big drop in teamwise damage, but the results are still workable in current endgame modes.
That said, as Skirk's combos can be a little difficult to master, it is recommended to use a team of Citlali, Vodyanitsa, and Escoffier (or Furina, Citlali, and Escoffier) alongside Skirk for a far easier time. Just keep in mind that if you are replacing any of these options that you need to use Cryo or Hydro characters - otherwise Skirk's damage potential takes a massive dive into 'why won't this boss just die!?' territory.

Here's a list of Skirk's best weapons in Genshin Impact:
Azurelight Skirk's signature 5-star sword gives her big boosts to Crit Rate, Crit Damage, and attack. Primordial Jade Cutter A 5-star Crit Rate 'stat stick' that also increases HP, and attack scaled off Skirk's HP. Not recommended to use with the 'Marechaussee Hunter' Artifact set. Mistsplitter Reforged Nice 5-star Crit Damage 'stat stick' that also increases Skirk's Cryo Damage. Absolution An excellent 5-star Crit Damage 'stat stick'. Haran Geppaku Futsu Another 5-star Crit Rate 'stat stick' that also increases Skirk's normal attack damage. Finale of the Deep This craftable 4-star weapon is perfect if you're running a healer alongside Skirk, as it increases Skirk's attack by a huge amount. Calamity of Eshu When used with a character who provides shields on Skirk's team, this sword is a fantastic 4-star pick for its attack boosts when Skirk is being shielded. The Black Sword A 4-star Battle Pass weapon that increases Skirk's Crit Rate and normal attack damage. There are many other 'stat sticks' Skirk can take advantage of if you don't have any of the options listed above. Ideally, look out for anything with a Crit Rate/Damage main stat, but it's preferable if the passive effect can also be utilized by Skirk for more damage gains.
Best Skirk Artifacts in Genshin Impact
Skirk's best Artifact set in Genshin Impact is the 4-piece Finale of the Deep Galleries, as it's basically tailor made for Skirk. It boosts her Cryo Damage, and normal attack/Elemental Burst damage.
Nothing else comes close to matching Finale of the Deep Galleries, but Skirk can use the 4-piece Marechaussee Hunter set if Furina is on her team.
The main stats you should aim for on Skirk's Artifacts are:
- Sands - Attack
- Goblet - Cryo Damage
- Circlet - Crit Rate/Damage
An attack Goblet can also work if you happen to have better substats. Speaking of, the substats you should be looking for with any of these Artifact sets are:
- Crit Damage
- Crit Rate
- Attack
How to play Skirk in Genshin Impact
Essentially, all you have to do in a Skirk team is pop all of your teammate's buffs, then swap to Skirk, press her Skill and then normal attack the enemy until Skirk's special Skill stacks run out - making sure to weave in a Burst for extra damage gains.
If you truly want to unlock Skirk's maximum DPS potential, however, you're going to have to learn a few combos and take advantage of 'dash cancelling' where you dash before an attack has ended to speed up your attack chains.
The most basic combo Skirk can utilize for excellent damage is:
- Skill, five normal attacks, dash.
- Simply repeat this, and Burst after using her Skill if it's available, to play Skirk effectively.
Alternatively, you can play Skirk in a quickswap DPS role by using this simple combo:
- Hold the Skill button, Burst, then either do more damage with Skirk or swap to another DPS.
When levelling her up, prioritize Skirk's Skill first, then her Burst. Normal attacks can be ignored, as the normal attacks Skirk uses in her combos are actually counted as Skill damage.
Advanced combo 1
Okay, here's where things get a little complicated, as it involves exact attack combos that take advantage of dash cancelling and Skirk's charged attack.
The easiest of Skirk's advanced combos is:
- Two normal attacks, Burst
- (x4) five normal attacks, dash
- Two normal attacks, charge attack
Advanced combo 2
A more effective (yet far harder to master) Skirk combo is:
- (x2) Two normal attacks, dash
- Burst
- (x2) Two normal attacks, dash
- Five normal attacks, dash
- (x2) Two normal attacks, dash, charge attack
- (x2) two normal attacks, dash
- Five normal attacks , dash
- Two normal attacks
A slightly easier version of this pattern alters the attacks after the charged attack:
- (x2) Two normal attacks, dash
- Burst
- (x2) Two normal attacks, dash
- Five normal attacks, dash
- (x2) Two normal attacks, dash, charge attack
- (x2) two normal attacks, dash
- Two normal attacks
These combos aren't essential to make Skirk a good DPS, but if you're very close to clearing a boss and need a little extra boost, mastering one of them can certainly help.
